About Me

Who are you Abigail Skye?

I am an intuitive artist, working straight from my heart centre. Art is my inner compass, it is how I navigate life. I paint any and every emotion and feeling, light and shadow and all the in-betweens. I paint it all out, and through that sacred act, I arrive at a deeper understanding about both myself and my practice.

It is a never-ending journey of discovering, uncovering, reclaiming, and letting go.

Tell us a bit more about your approach to art making

I play a game of hide and seek in my paintings and mixed-media work, where layers are thickly applied then scraped off in sections to reveal hidden or covered up elements. A recurring theme is my personal search for freedom and how it is connected to broader collective fights for justice.

Through my art, I connect to my truth and my authentic expression. I see art making as a form of visual storytelling and am continuously amazed by the mystical insights and wisdom that emerge through the intuitive approach I apply to my practice.

What can we expect from your workshops and one-to-one sessions?

It is an absolute joy and privilege to be able to share my approach to free-flow art making with you in my workshops and one-to-one sessions. You will be warmly encouraged to explore your own unique creative expression with curiosity and compassion, and give it voice and wings. You may be surprised by what your inner child and higher wisdom have to say when they are given free reign to play! There is a magic alchemy that happens when we allow our intuition to guide us in art-making. It can feel like arriving home.

What else does Abigail Skye like to do?

When I am not getting messy in the studio, I love to ground myself in nature by going for long walks through the woods or by the sea on weekends away from London. You may even sometimes find me on the stage, filming a scene or rehearsing a script, because I am also a trained actor. I love to sing, play the guitar and piano, and connect with others through music too. I believe that creative expression is utterly liberating and allows people to recognise their creative source and uncover who they really are.
