‘The unearthly silence and 'people-less' space of North London during the first lockdown made me suddenly accutely aware of everyone's doors, and the locked in lives behind those doors. The peeling blues, yellow and browns of old paint and curved door handles particularly sparked my interest. The symbolism and iront of closed doors, during an imposed questionable lockdown with repercussiosn still being felt tothis day, has not escaped me.'
